My spirit has been renewed. Although only a small renewal, its a renewal none the less. I went to the Concert on Main Street this year in downtown Roanoke, IN. This is a celebration of Independence Day. I couldn't believe my eyes! The street width ways and length ways was absolutely packed with people honoring the country, the men and women who have served and died, honoring the flag and you wont believe this one. They all were singing praise to God for blessing the USA. In public! Without reservation! Without hesitation! At the top of their lungs!
The music being played for this occasion was delivered by the Ft Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra. Yes, you heard me right! A public based organization, in a public place honoring God, Country and men and women who love both!
As I sat there, I could feel the joy of the Lord. I could feel the Lord's face directed at us and our country. If even for a fleeting moment, I could feel healing for our land.
It left me with hope. God Bless the men and women who pull this off every year. God Bless those who have served and are serving. God Bless the family members of those who have died while serving, and may God once again Bless the USA in spite of its self.

  1. It's great to have our spirit renewed and hope restored. We often forget that no matter what things look like - no matter how hopeless our perspective seems to be - God is still on the throne and He is in control! As long as there is a remnant of His people, we have a chance to change the world. We must not grow faint, nor grow weary in well doing. We belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. May the Holy Spirit empower us to triumph for the glory of God Almight!
